Congressman John Linder and Neal Boortz got together and penned “THE FAIR TAX BOOK.”

Ah a book on taxes you say “Has to be more boring then watching soccer.”

While it is not as riveting as “Lady Chatterley’s Lovers” it is quite interesting. It will cut through all the crap that you are hearing from the uninformed drive by media.

We scream tax reform, we scream tax the rich and we scream tax the corporations. Just who do you think really pays these taxes. For the first time since the Revolution we the people stand a chance to do something about taxes.

Now don’t just sit there do something and that something is first being informed about THE FAIR TAX.

WAKE UP AMERICA!

Just what do the Chinese have to do to us for you people to wake up?
Let’s see Americans don’t care that JOBS are going to China, if you did care you wouldn’t be buying their junk. Tell the store manager where you are shopping you DO NOT WANT the Chinese junk. You stop buying and he’ll find someplace else to get his goods.
Are Americans really that lazy when it comes to buying PET FOOD that they will buy something that even got near China? How many more dogs or cats are you going to let them kill. Who is paying that VET bill for your sick dog or cat? It sure as hell isn’t the Chinese. How it is the products that had the poison that harmed our pets are still being sold in our stores?
When this happened our Food and Drug Administration had a two week visit with the Chinese. Do you really believe any of this did any good? The Chinese said “We hope the American side will accurately and objectively deal with problems among individual companies and not take stringent measures against other Chinese companies producing the same type of products.”
DO YOU REMEMBER TOOTH PASTE?????? Little kids getting sick from tooth paste for Gods sakes. The Chinese must make tooth paste and antifreeze in the same bucket.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said that an inspection had not turned up any food or feed products containing melamine. AND THAT WAS AFTER THE KILLING OF OUR PETS.
FISH from China are farm grown. It has been reported that the fish ponds are nothing but septic tanks. To think you are eating this stuff.
Did I almost forget the recall of Chinese-made radial tires?
Try to go to the store and find something that not made in China. When you do find something made in the USA or else where are you sure about the parts.
You think your food is safe? Better think again. William Hubbard a former U.S. Food and Drug Administration official claims that companies in China produce about 80 percent of the world’s wheat gluten, common in most breads, cakes and cookies, and 80% of its sorbic acid, a preservative used in just about everything.
What will the Chinese send us next???

We had to make a trip to Tampa the other day and since it was around lunch time we went to the “CRAZY BUFFET” on North Dale Mabry.
The cute little girls who seated us seemed to have it somewhat together.
Over all the restaurant was clean. The restrooms were acceptable. The dining room we were seated in could have used a better pick up job then was done.
The selection of food was good. If you like Oriental Food you will not be disappointed with the offering.
I spotted the melted chocolate, which compelled me to have desert first. I was forced to have strawberries, marshmallows, bananas and cookies dipped in chocolate. I know life is tuff but someone had to do it.
The down side to the whole affair is the price. “She Who Must Be Obeyed” and I agreed it was a little high. We had two lunch buffets plus one hot tea. Total price plus tax was $36.35
At the bottom of the check they have printed out: “Quality service is customarily Acknowledged by a gratuity of 15% to 20%”. FOR A BUFFET they have got to be kidding. Tipping is getting to be a whole different battle which we will get into later.
Over all I give the “CRAZY BUFFET” 2 Spoons because the cost of lunch does NOT make it a good deal. Chances of us going back are slim they are just over priced.

JT’S FAMILY RESTAURANT it’s a fun little place to eat.

We have been there three times now. The first time was on the way back from doing some house shopping. We stopped for lunch.

There is a full service bar, which is something we like. Don’t always get an adult beverage but I want to be able to get one before a meal.
The dining area is one big room. There is a small stage at the far end of the dining room. Off to the side there is a game room, pinball, darts etc.

The second time we were there was when we took the kids: My son and his family were down to visit with the new grand son and SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED invited her two daughters, and one boyfriend. It was a very good experience. Everyone had a good time. On Tuesday Nights JT’S had an Elvis Impersonator. He put on a good show. He gets down there and yaks it up with the customers and will hold still to get pictures taken. We stayed for most of the second show.

That game room got a little action from the younger set.

The third time we went to JT’S was to see show that was to have what we took as a couple of guys who were going to do Johnny Cash and Neal Diamond. Turns out the same guy did both. He was OK when it came to Johnny Cash but bombed with his version of Neal Diamond. We didn’t stay to the end of that act.

The food at JT’S is pretty good. You get what you ask for. It’s getting the food, that’s the problem. And it’s not just the food getting an adult beverage seems to be a big deal.
The first time we were there the service was really good. There were only 2 other tables covered. The second time there were eight of us at the table and I think the waiter was new. Besides the place was really busy with the Elvis show. All our food did NOT come out at the same time, not even close. We couldn’t get a round of drinks when ordered. At one point I think the waiter went out for a smoke while we waited. The third time we there our waitress was just old enough to be out of a training bra. I’m not sure she knew where the kitchen was located.

BUT ALWAYS believe it or not the food came out hot or cold as it should and was good. Don’t know how they did that.

SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED and I will go back again especially if “Elvis” is going to be putting on a show.

We give it 3 ½ spoons over all.
